Eight general managers have been fired, released or vacated their positions within the past 15 months, and the likelihood is that one or two more will go before the year's up. Many of the departed executives were seemingly doing well, too. One was in the middle of a positive, productive rebuild, another won 98 games last year and another made the playoffs five times in eight years.
